Your opinions on this man, please
a massive influence on lo-fi/indie rock songwriting
therefore, his legacy will vanish without a trace
Like, best concert I've ever been to
/mu/ can't into rock though
Who's hyped for old Neil Young to release a new (old) Neil Young album from when he was a younger Neil Young?
This is apparently coming out in July, an unreleased solo acoustic album from 1976. Hopefully this also means he'll release the other unreleased albums and the second archive box soon as well.

dad rock essential
Musical genius probably
The undisputed king of dadrock and I mean that in the best possible way.
Also a competent songwriter if a little self indulgent, with loads of diverse, eccentric albums.
Personal faves: Zuma, On the Beach, Ragged Glory.
Was pretty disappointed when he turned out to be the Yellow King.
I've just listened to On the Beach and I love it
What should I listen next?

What else have you listened to by him?
Anything from his Buffalo Springfield days until about 1980 including solo albums and CSNY is worth listening to desu. One of the most consistenly great artists ever during that time. Starting with Freedom through to the mid-90s he had a creative resurgence as well

>What else have you listened to by him?
Just On the Beach (the whole album) and a couple other songs.
I asked because I didn't like his voice on some songs, but on On the Beach he sounds fine.
Who was in the wrong here?

I've only heard a few of his albums, but I saw him live once and he did this 10+ minute drone thing which was pretty dope. My dad was very confused about it.

Neil was pretty big on stuff like Sonic Youth and that at one point and even got possessed by the spirit of Keiji Haino and did a full-on Noise sound collage made of recordings of amplifier feedback at the end of songs from his live shows
Solid guitar player.

Saw him live a couple years ago. He still has his musical chops, even still hits the high notes.
