Are you just jumping into listening to him when the most noisy band you know is like Death Grips or something? I'm not accusing you of that, but for me the way I've ended up getting into the more "extreme" music that I am into is just by listening to a lot of music and slowly being drawn to it. You don't just jump into the deep end, you move over to it. At least that was my experience.
