Stereo. It was made in stereo and benefits from it
Depends if the album was made for stereo or not.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a good example of an album made for mono and absolutely butchered in stereo. Most Beatles albums are similar, but none are really "bad" in stereo besides the first two which only used two-track recording.
Revolver and Sgt. Pepper are actually (overall) better in stereo because the mono versions are overcompressed and limited to hell and back. There are a few exceptions (I Want To Tell You, Tomorrow Never Knows, For No One, and Fixing A Hole) but most songs benefit from the limited tracks being spread out and not piled on top of each other.
Just listen to a song or two from both versions. If you can clearly tell that the mono is just the stereo downmixed, then stick with stereo.

Beatle albums were meant to be listened to in mono. They were only present for the mono mix. Everyone knows that desu.
Mono,allways.

KEK
hendrix is def better in stereo, he did this thing where he did a guitar overdub and it goes from one to the other ear like he's shredding on a train
