hey.. thanks you...

Go backwards. From Her to Eternity or Tender Prey.
This is his best work and I will disagree with anyone who says otherwise.

No More Shall We Part

I started with that as well, it's his best unfortunately, but check out No More Shall We Part (the most similar), Let Love In and Murder Ballads.
Murder Ballards is like the evil/ nihilisitc edgy brother with a wicked sense of humor of tbc (its surprisingly good).
Let Love In is probably his punkiest album, also fantastic.
Your Funeral, My Trial is a really creepy atmoshpiric album.
Those are my favs
How did you guys feel about Skeleton Tree?
>>73045864
Good, but a bit monotone. 7/10
>>73045864
I liked it, it was good and very emotional, something that I didn't feel from some of his previous albums.
>>73045655
Murder Ballads is cheesy, but at least tolerable, and some of the songs are great.
>>73045864
It'll be looked back on as one of his best albums I think.

ABBATOIR BLUES

I wouldn't call Let Love In his "punkiest" album. If anything it shows that you have not been listening Nick Cave for so long. Neither do I, but some of Nick's most raw stuff can be found in From Her To Eternity, Your Funeral My Trial, Tender Prey and so on. The first five or six albums are the "punkiest" if you were to use that adjective
No More Shall We Part is the most similar to Boatman's Call. "Oh My Lord" always gives me chills because how brutal it is

Nick Cave is one of the only artists I can advocate listening to the whole discography with a clear conscience. He's so God damn brilliant..everything he's ever done is at minimum an 8/10.
Cave is Cute! Cute!
