My personal rating of the Black Keys albums
Intentionally left out the 4 track Moan EP, simply because its too short and half of the songs are on albums

Its kinda sad that they dropped the rawer aspects of their early albums, but at least they still sound heavy and bluesy

Not bad based on what I've heard.
Listened to Magic Potion and would also give a nine.
I'd probably give brothers 7.5, and El Camino a 6.5
Haven't heard the others.
The Big come up is their best you'd say?

Couldn't agree more. You can really hear Junior Kimbrough's influence on their first two records.

They really start to come into their own on the Rubber Factory LP

Oh, I certainly would. They came out guns blazin' and exploded with blues rock that would make Junior proud and their contemporaries quiver in fear.
Although they've changed their sound so much I can't help but be happy for the successful records they've made. I would 100% recommend the Chulahoma EP to anyone that hasn't heard it yet.

damn dude whats the hate for brothers about

It's too much indie. Doesn't sound as Bluish as their previous albums. They were trying to be Mainstream too much. Sounds just like your average indie album

I'm always divided about El Camino. On one hand, I enjoy every single song, individually they're all atleast an 4/5.
But as an album, it's kinda samey, it doesn't really stand out much. It's very solid, but I wish they experimented a bit more on it.
