Anyone here old enough to be going to rock shows in New York in the Early-Mid 00s? Was it like Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist?

Really want to find an ebook copy of that
nyc produced no bands of worth during that time period
lcd soundsystem is garbage
>>73024133
i remember hearing all about this band called Vampire Weekend in early 2007 and i wrote them off as being flavour of the month college radio trash, but now theyre huge a band that make great indie pop tunes and im still a williamsburg shithead loser thats done nothing

I saw The Strokes in '02. They weren't that great live. I saw Interpol, !!!, and TV on the Radio a few years later and all were much better live.

>>73025074
all shit
thanks for confirming my claim
"post-punk revival" was one of the worst developments of the 00s
>>73025337
Nope. It saved rock from horrendous nu metal and post post post grunge.
>>73025440
rock was already dead before that point, and some shitty joy division ripoffs did nothing to change that
>>73025074
AHAHAHAHAHA
>>73025440
Thank God. Why does Metal always have to get its ass kicked by an indie, DIY, type genre when it goes mainstream?. (Grunge>Hair Metal, Post-Punk Revival>Nu-Metal
>>73025499
hair metal and nu metal hardly qualify as metal, despite their names
>>73025531
Okay, but you get what i mean.

prove me wrong. hard rock is not the same as metal
