For what it's worth, it's just the guy's personal preferences. I am less mad about his scores and feelings on records, but more mad about how this guy has sorta set a standard for terrible popular music journalism that exists today. Like seriously read more serious musicology stuff on music and then read a Christgau, P4K, *insert review site/reviewer that's relatively popular* work, it's awful how low the standards in music journalism have gone. That one Ott guy who used to write at P4K talks about how shitty music journalism is, but the irony is that he himself is part of the problem as well.
