Thanks.
The only gripe I have is that my only receiver is a guitar amp and it's really shit for a receiver. I need to get my mom's old Kenwood.

My budget system built mostly from 2nd hand parts.
Rega RP1 PP and Ortofon 2M red

>using a guitar amp as a headphone pre-amp
nigga are you not terrified of accidentally blowing your brains out with that setup?
Why not just buy a cheap old receiver to use?
>>73011210
Any thoughts about the Lp60? I have been looking more some turntables but i can't decide if i should go with a vintage or new setup
>>73011984
I'm using the headphone out port. It theoretically should not blow my headphones.
Also it outputs in mono so I'm switching it out for my mom's 90's Kenwood 200w integrated amp that will murder my beyers if I'm not careful.
Finna buy a better turntable since the lp60 is hot garbage and is already playing my records out of tune (motors fucked I think) and I fear is damaging my records.

Garbage, I only had it a few months and played it sparingly but the motors already fucked.
I looked it up online and the lp60 does in fact have reliability issues.
>>73012134
Any recommendations for a good turntable then?
>>73012134
Buddy...
I don't know where you live but if you just browse around pawn shops and thrift stores you can find some cheap as receivers and speaker setups, it's not always good stuff but it's better than running through amps.
I would worry about that before buying a new turntable or headphones. If anything just get like a mini headphone pre-amp for 30-40 bucks.
lp60's are usually fine, if anything it might need a new belt which is also cheap as fuck, and they're styluses are easily replaceable with something higher quality.
Get your priorities straight.
hd 558 through nothing lol
cable is too long

Nah I already got a good one coming Im just using the amp as a meme :^)

Hey i lurk there sometimes, gatekeeping aside its a good subreddit
I know that my speakers shouldn't be on the same service as my table, but I have a lack of room to work with. I have a little adapter I use to play music from my old iPod and phone.

You can look into the common "meme" tables like the U-Turn, LP120, and Debut Carbon. However, you're better off looking for a good vintage table as it could blow the living shit out of any of those I just listed for less.

>gatekeeping
it's an expensive hobby, fuck off if you don't want to spend time with research and effort
I found a Sony PX 40 on Craigslist for 35 bucks, should I buy it?
I'm gonna be using it to sample, so should I splurge for an expensive stylus too? Which one should I buy if I get the px40?
