>>73002472
They literally are personifications of this board, you don't even need to see it
The book's slightly better (obviously) but this film is just as good as a movie version could ever be.
John Cusack lived the part. I can't imagine anyone else in the role. He alone justifies the transition from London to Chicago
Extremely quotable too
The Phantom of the Paradise
>>73002496
That's not true, multiple characters in that movie actually have sex with someone
>>73002764
nice one
That OST that tries to simulate auditory hallucinations with sampled Beach Boys tracks is just amazing.

swedish flick about three chicks starting a punk band, pretty gucci
About a Jeff Beck sort of musician who dies and more importantly the aftermath left in his wake as a former Music television host and his
widow struggles to remain clean and form a relationship with a son that was left in her husband's parents care.
Nick Nolte is fucking great in it, and it features Emily Haines and Metric in an actual speaking role, as well as Tricky in a cameo role.
This is not a Kurt Cobain Biopic. It just has a long haired, blonde grunge musician who breaks out of rehab and hides while his friends look for him and dies in a greenhouse and his found by a worker.
High Fidelity is literally just another romantic comedy except with like 5 min total screen time of them talking about records
>>73002772

Still need to watch it, but I kind of get the gist of it, its a crazy story.
Sixto Rodriguez recorded 1 album in 1970 that was a total flop in the U.S., but sold really well in Australia and South America. The film documents 2 south American fans trying to find Rodriguez, who was rumored to be dead.
Its a good 70s folk rock album too

If you're not familiar with the writer or his particular humor you will feel confused..
That being said the adaptation isn't exactly like the book, this was because of directorial approach and total artistic freedom
I personally didn't like the movie, but it does portray the marginalization and under belly of our society
The second half is really messy but overall its good.
I wish more biopics were like this
