Is Shoegaze the most underrated genre of music ever?

even though it's my favorite I feel like it's influence is starting to become too present in pretty much all of indie for that to be the case anymore

No in fact I'd say indie bands of the mid 2010's like DIIV and their ilk have taken a giant shit on the genre to where it's sort of played out at this point desu

I've tried for so long to get into Ride and I can't. at first I thought I was just too pleb but after listening to everything from Pygmalion to Grandeur of Hair and finding merit in it all I seriously don't get what people see in that band
