This album, despite the socioeconomic circumstance of its writer and performer, is simply musically and lyrically inspired. The feel of it is universal and beautiful. Most importantly though, you're not "supposed to" feel any specific emotion.with any music. I don't get particularly sad when listening to any Nick Drake; I get such a pure sensation of enjoying his music that it's like a soothing crest by which I'm lifted.
