currently eyeing this Sony MDR7506 for $100 but I got a little bit more of a budget and I think there's something better out there
Audio technica m50x the best headphones I've ever owned
Price varies but I got mine for 130.
I have a pair of Shure SRH240 ($50) and the part of my ear circled in red contacts the hard plastic grid that covers the speakers. It becomes painful after about half an hour.
They've taken a shit, so I'm on the lookout for over the ear headphones in the $50-100 range that have thicker/deeper pads. I don't need the sound quality some of you guys probably jerk off over, just want something substantially better than earbuds and comfortable.
The Sonys are great but need an amplifier. Pair with at least a basic amp like Fiio e6 and consider replacing the earcups with Beyerdynamic 250s. Audio Technica is just a meme. If you want to spend more look at Sennheiser 600/650.
I use a pair of Superlux HD681. The sound quality is fucking amazing and they're ridiculously cheap.
The original ear pads are shitty, but I got some K240 ones and that took care of that.
The main issue they suffer from is that you can't use them on your phone effectively because i guess the 3.5 is shitty and modern phones will stop playing music constantly.
Name a more /fa/ pair of headphones
really good sound too

What are the differences between the first and second generations of the H6?
>>72994241
Better looks and better sound
>>72994414
I've got the 2nd generations, physically the difference is that the inside of the cups on the 1st gens are green; 2nd gens are black. Pic attached are the 1st gens
I believe the 2nd gens have more of a bass presence, however that's only from what I've read on head-fi forums
Just got these Tennmak Pros in yesterday, they're $30 Shure SE215 clones that sound amazing. Highly recommend.

I have the 668B's, I absolutely love them for the price.

2nd gen is much more expensive

I didn't get the 668b because people complained about the clamping force and i have a big head. I kinda regret it now, because comfortable as the 681 are, the detachable cable of the 668 would fix the problem i have with not being able to use them with my phone.

With hm5 pads I can wear the 668B's all day no problem, the clamp isn't too much of an issue

This is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE in my country because of taxes. Fuck this third world shithole.
