what's the most overrated album of all time and why is it DSotM?

What's with the constant discussion of this album the past few days

I thought it was Redditcore dad rock trash. Have we come full circle now?

i feel like the answer is some other dad rock band like ac/dc or something.

dark side is a fantastic album but not as good as many people say it is. ac/dc on the other hand put out mediocre albums that people say are just as good, so it's "more overrated" because people overrate it to a more severe degree.

Every time I see it at the top of a list I roll my eyes. Fucking plebs. It's good. It's not one of the top ten albums ever. It's not even the best album of it's decade, let alone album of the year.

ac/dc I could see as being an overrated band but most people aren't going to know any of their albums for the most part. DSotM is way more popular and I feel it get's a lot of its fame from its cover alone. Admittedly it's really good but most people don't look past it in the slightest

DSotM doesn't have a weak song and it charted for like two fucking decades. It deserves the fame, or at least enough to not be "the most overrated ever".

I can't help but think it would have been better if Syd didn't 404 before they started it, though.
