I mean the deleting Yellow Sub argument works because if you're going to have the Yellow Sub soundtrack the song is already there and makes a little more sense. Revolver is perfect otherwise. And to all of the people who want to add Paperback Writer and Rain, what is your track listing because this is important

I mean if you're going to add Paperback Writer/Rain to revolver you may as well add every Beatle single ever to their corresponding album. Better to just respect the original art.
>>
>>72975544
I actually do that, it feels more complete and it's like a cherry on top of a cake (although the original track lists are equally as good)

If you're going to do that I wouldn't weave them into the track listing, I would just have them added after as "bonus tracks". It just wouldn't feel right to me to change a Beatle album. Those things are sacred. I'll make my own fan Beatle album, but I won't alter what the lads already printed.

I mean, they were pretty much told to make singles off of the albums and I think the Lads now would prefer the singles to be part of the album/experience.

I appreciate that, but I've experienced the albums in their canon forms for nearly 20 years now so I would feel uneasy altering them. It's the Beatles, man.

I'm actually pretty """young""" and I'm """new""" to music, per se, since I didn't grow up with the Beatles (my mom and dad didn't really listen to music, except the radio), so since 2012 I've been listening to the Beatles, I guess it's different to everybody. Until recently I've made my own track lists from the originals.

2 weeks ago I re-organized my entire Beatles catalog and added the Mono albums because I've been told they're a different experience, which they are. I also sorted out every single single
(no pun intended) released with their own album title, album cover and such. It was such a pain in the arse, but it looks way better than having Past Masters on an album cover.

I'm currently downloading the stuff, thanks mate.

I also changed some of the album covers to a more "clean" style. I appreciate album artwork, so for example on Please Please Me and With the Beatles, I removed the parlaphone logo and mono/stereo thing, I feel like it ruins the artwork, but they are classic nonetheless.

Nice collection here's mine.
Yeah the mono and stereo albums are very different experiences. I have disc 1 as mono and disc 2 as stereo for all the records up to Abbey Road of course. I usually go with mono but some albums, or at least songs on those albums, are better/same in stereo (With the Beatles, Hard Day's Night, Help, White Album come to mind.)

Also inb4
>No Yellow Submarine album
Well the second half which is just orchestral score does nothing for me so I just moved the front half in order into singles to placate my austim. Also the Beatles never wanted to put that album out, it was merely a contractual obligation. Nevermind the fact that most of those songs were years old from the Sgt. Pepper sessions
>>
>>72975998
This is lovely, do you have Please Please Me and Hard Day's Night as well?

I don't listen to that album at all really, just have it there as the ""OFFICIAL"" album releases (though it's more like a soundtrack). I didn't put it in there until 2 weeks ago when I reorganized my stuff and I didn't know where to put em.

And that was just one of the folders of my many folders in iTunes of JUST the Beatles. Of course I have their entire discography.

The only one I don't have clean, is Beatles for Sale, because I suck at photoshopping. I had in mind moving the words Beatles for Sale to the top left of the album (or around there) and removing everything else.

Adding Rain and Paperback Writer would certainly improve an already perfect album but if any song should be deleted it should be For No One. Love You o and Yellow Submarine are essential and should remain intact.

If for any reason, Ringo is the only album released after Let It Be that features all four Beatles. Plus Photograph is one of the best songs by the solo Beatles.

That's what listening to For No One makes me want to do.
That's why I hate it and it should be deleted from Revolver.
>>
I've spent the last few minutes trying to figure out what to do with Revolver trying to fit in Paperback Writer and Rain without taking any songs (including Yellow Submarine, it's deceptively innovative).

I had to take into consideration the fact that Revolver is two halves. This doesn't really make much sense until you consider the fact that there is a bit of a lull halfway through the album.

Besides, one of the running things about Revolver is that it alternates between pop branching out in all directions and psychedelic pop rock. So for that I needed to figure out what to do with Paperback Writer, because it ultimately is the most straightforward pop rock song in the album.

So how would I do it?

Side A:

>Taxman
>Eleanor Rigby
>I'm Only Sleeping
>Love You To

I honestly tried figuring out how to open this album in any other matter, but I just couldn't. It's such a good string of 4 songs that really breaks into new territory that I couldn't figure out how to do anything with it.

>Paperback Writer

The work here is more on the sheer quality of the recording than anything, and the break from Harrison's pseudo-indian wankery into nice harmonies and a very simple pop rock song that's just excellently done makes for a nice shift.

>Yellow Submarine
>Here There and Everywhere
>She Said She Said

Ok, this is pretty standard compared to the album, but since I had to add in Paperback Writer, Here There and Everywhere gets moved a bit further and Yellow Submarine seems a tiny bit more psychedelic than the rest. She Said She Said keeps on being She Said She Said which is a good closer for us.

Side B
>Rain
>For No One
>I Want To Tell You

I wanted to kind of echo the beginning, with this construction, and it fits rather nicely. Rain's drum intro is also a pretty nice thing.

>Good Day Sunshine
>Doctor Robert
>Got To Get You Into My Life

Just kind of wrapping up, it's an alright ending setup.

>Tomorrow Never Knows

Probably one of the best endings of all, really.

No fucking idea why Revolver didn't get one. When you think about it, why haven't they all gotten one? This is the fucking Beatles. If I own the Beatles properties I'm putting out as many products as I can. It's literally printing money. Marvel and DC Comics do this sort of shit too when they let books go out of print for decade. Like, hello? Keep printing it ! It's free cash !
