I can't remember, when the 09 remasters came out I only listened to the mono mixes since they were big news. I mostly only listened to stereo Beatles on vinyl

Am I supposed to listen to the album in regular stereo or in 5.1 surround? on my computer i generally listen to music in 5.1 surround.

Sounds overcompressed. Nice individual track equalization but the changes it makes aren't very good. I'd say it's more of a release to hear unnoticed parts or if it were speed corrected but that's it.

Idk it's just there are so many points where it loses personality. Not as much panning going on so the interesting parts/transitions sit unrepresented and flat. I like the width but it's just not cutting it for me. The likable flaws tied to their characters that have become embedded in the songs are neatly cut like a modern tweenpop album. At some point they senselessly split the drums between left and right that doesn't work with their sound. Bases sound grungy and not full. The strings lose all their strength in She's Leaving Home. But then again I'm just a picky little bitch.
