I liked this thing a lot. Has a Niggas On the Moon/Fashion Week feel. Stefan is on fire the whole 22 minutes. Fun weird listen. I wonder when they started working on this and when the new album will be out. Is this an EP? A single piece? Good either way. There were a few sections in the track that struck me as being unique and unheard so far in the Death Grips discography. Namely the more chilled out spacey sections like the one near the beginning felt especially non-Death Grips which I liked.

I might be in the minority, but I honestly prefer when their music is more production focused rather than MC Ride focused.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ride, but man the thing that keeps bringing me back to this is the INSANE production with Ride doing his thing in the background. It's like Government Plates but less repetitive and more insane production.

It's crazy how these guys can release so much music but you can still distinguish distinct sounds and prevalent progression in their music with each record they release.

I really hope history treats them well. Will anybody be talking about DG in 10-15 years? I hope so.

The thing that makes DG great is how abrasive and loud they are while still being able to form coherent songs with amazing hooks. This is alright I guess, but they are cramming way too much sound in throughout the track. Just compare parts in this to Up My Sleeves, Inanimate Sensation, No Love, Guillotine, whatever the fuck else really. It doesn't fucking compare. Those who are saying this is better than any of their previous albums are either trying too hard or just falling for hype. I mean it's decent, but really only beats out Interview. Relax motherfuckers, you don't have to pretend this is a progressive masterpiece, wait til the album.

The sections here have dozens of hooks throughout, and are plenty coherent relative to any other kind of progressive song.

Two years ago I use to think death grips were so unique and experimental. However, after becoming a patrician, I find this new mix to be repulsive and boring. Don't get me wrong, some parts are pretty good. Come and Go would be a good track on it's own. If we're going by that track list above, My Whole Life and This Town are just forgettable B-Sides which is why they're here. Shit Like This is good for the most part. Bald Headed Girl is a mess for the most part. The instrumental sounds like something from Fashion Week, but carries on way too long and falls off. Hi, Black Body, and State of drugs are just attempts to see how many layers of sound they can use and still sound appealing. State of Drugs particularly fails when it comes to layering sounds. The obvious gabber parts of the song go pretty well with the DG style but the rest is pretty fucking horrible. This isn't an album for a reason.

I appreciate their more raw and electronic sounds, but honestly this might just be too tecno for a full album IMO

Like, it sounds cool but this track/remix/whatever is just overwhelming and long, it's good but it's too hard to appreciate the specific aspects of it

With that being said, I thought that Bottomless Pit and TPTB were amazing albums that made it work with the more electronic sound, so I'll trust that this next project won't be shit
