>>72928865
I came to this thread intending to post the same thing

>>72928957
Thanks
>>72929259
never got past the first 10 minutes of storm
>>72930521
Poor guy
>>72928812
i dont really like em but
i find it funny, i think its their most endurable album but unlike their early stuff i havent managed to bring myself to finish this
>>72928812
>Play bloodhail
>Done
>>72931799
How did you know
>>72931799
couldn't be more wrong desu
>>72930951
>endurable
oh go away, and don't ever mention Swans again
>>72928812
any radiohead album
>>72928812
This is the ONLY good album ever made though
...I legit actually haven't fully listened to this one since it came out in like 08 but "the collapse" is a killer opening track
I keep seeing this record and thinking new regime did it first
>>72928812
gotta relisten it
>>72929259
yeah it is excellent as people say try it
>>72930951
one of my favorites still
>>72934257
this one for me too
It was such a gay garbage that I only managed to listen to 2 songs
>>72934294
what, gay garbage with a band name like that, how could that be
>>72930951
>>72934257
I can't make it through any Swans made post-The Great Annihilator. I honestly don't understand it, and I find it boring and dull. They're earlier work far surpasses their newer albums imo.
>>72930521
Storm is the worst track, dude. Sit through it
The second track bores me and I always turn it off.
>>72934312
They changed their name to ajj because they felt it was too offensive
>>72934321
>They're
>>72934419
I had a long day.
these 4
>>72928812
it's good, you should finish it
>>72934294
well if you didn't like that, you probably won't like any of their other work
>>72934346
give it more chances, it's a fantastic album as a whole
>>72930951
>>72934257
they may seem long but they're rewarding and a good listen from first to last track. If it's not your thing though then their newer work may just not be for you.
>>72934257
someone inspire me to finish this. Do i just not
"get" it? what's the recommended listening environment for this album?
>>72934540
It's just a bad album. Listen to Faust or something instead.
It's only 17 minutes, yet it's harder to trudge through then molasses
>>72934540
If you didn't fall in love with it, I don't think that you'll truly enjoy it under anything but the perfect environmental circumstances. You shouldn't spend time trying to create some second-hand objective appreciation for what the album has to offer. This music is instantly enjoyable for the intended audience.
>>72930521
you didnt miss out on much, just some gay slow piano playing
>>72934472
Never finished Mellon Collie either.
>>72934257
>>72934540
Just listen to each half seperately like 2 different albums. The last trak on the first half sounds like a closer.
>>72935739
Animus flows so perfectly into the next songs that I disagree with you. Listen to it in one sitting, or don't listen to it.
>>72934263
apparently 3 different albums have this painting as their cover

search for "the death of marat"
>>72928812
you should try again, its fucking great
>>72941480
*deletes everything but teenage riot
>>72928812
pleb here, listening to this shit now and its pretty gay don't blame you for not finishing it.
I made it as far as P
>>72941858
One time I listened to his discography on shuffle and found a song that samples Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites. Too bad I'm too lazy to try to find it again
>>72942325
Its "A"
