Check out Syzygys
>>
>>72912731
There's some good stuff on there (ground zero, thinking fellers, royal trux) but it seems as if you're trying too hard to be 'avant garde'. Your chart is basically poseur core (which isn't bad). Just wait for somebody to post the copypasta and you'll get some recs
>>
>>72913618
I'm not honestly, I just really enjoy this music. Really avant garde stuff is enjoyable and can be really fun and uplifting for me on a shitty day, or enjoyable in another way, like watching a movie, that's the main reason why. I get what you are saying though, I hear it often.

requesting godlike music similar to the title track of this, the greatest thing I've ever heard. the rest of the tracks on this album are shitty outtakes without the same quality.

the closest thing I've found is Blue Train (not just because same trumpeter), but it doesn't have nearly the same deep blue and swing qualities to it.

I've listened to most of the albums by AB&JM, Coltrane, and Adderly, and they're not the same. jazzfags help me out here. explain some terminology.
>>
>>72924272
>reducing
refusing to elevate on account of composition*
If you care about anything other than the sound, why do you bother playing music when you could read a music sheet? Better still, you could listen to something that sounds good and has aesthetic merit. You picked a mediocre Ground-Zero album too, you faggot.
>>
>>
>>72924359
same difference
also i'm not op

>>72924359
also
i only care about sound
by generalizing the numerous musical qualities into "vocals" and "instrumentals" you inherently miss out on appreciating many subtleties
open up your ears to notice things you had not before
that's all i'm sayin'
also i'm not a faggot just because you can't into tmr, faggot
>>
>>72924476
there's nothing beyond "vocals" and "instrumentals" if you're speaking about sound. the only alternative is to look downward at composition. the fact that you take offense to the condensation of several interrelated aspects into one term proves that you're a posturing pseud, faggot.

correct there's nothing beyond vocals and instrumentals when speaking about sound
nothing wrong with using those blanket terms
your error arises from not judging the intricacies separately from each other, and clouding your entire judgement on two broad basis
>>
>>72924667
if a grating vocal performance occupies half of the soundscape, it doesn't matter how much I appreciate or dislike the other aspects of the music. I'll dislike the music.
qualitative judgement does not determine one's enjoyment. it is a fact that "genuine" enjoyment rests entirely upon the sound as a unified entity. at best, I could tune out the vocals and focus on the more agreeable musical intricacies. as I said earlier, though, why go to that trouble?

plural of basis is bases
>>
>>72924858
maybe if you could learn to appreciate certain vocal elements then the general sound of his voice could grow on you? just a thought
no point in forcing it however, sure
