>>72891271
listened to Transient Life. It was really good. The combination of blackgaze and harsher noise rock is really effective. It manages to be introspective and aggressive at the same time, which I really like.
>>72892025
This is pretty strange stuff. I really like it though. It's quite varied stylistically, almost to the point of becoming chaotic, but in spite of this it somehow comes together quite nicely. Johnny Was a Modern Lover is fucking brilliant.

The homie. Void is dope as hell man, very meditative. I'm super excited for you and Ritual Chair to record togehter!
>>72892311 here's my stuff
>>72892421
The flatness of the vocals detracts a lot from this sadly. Flatness can work at times, but here the vocals are rarely not flat, and since this is singer/songwriter type stuff, the singing is a pretty big deal. Also, there's some odd lack of compression on the vocals for most tracks, or just some sections where it's CONSIDERABLY louder than others. And then like, the female vocals in skeleton were really weirdly off time.
Man, this whole critique feels like I'm trashing your music, but I actually listened to five full tracks and it does have a certain charm to it. I like the backing music alright. The vocals just need so much work I don't see myself coming back to it. Sorry. :(
>>72892342
Enjoying the lyrics to all of these, and there's some good ideas to the music itself...but man. The guitar and vocals are so poorly recorded and mixed...not about to pretend my shit is hifi, but you can get a pretty good sound on less than 200 bucks. This would benefit a lot from that. It'd also benefit a lot from you not panning everything over to the left side and even just using, I dunno, a fuckin sock on your mic to keep it from popping? Keep workin on your vocals and recording techniques, you might have something here, could have a real Modest Mouse vibe going. As is...hard to get through.
>>72892461
Thanks! Tried listening to Dunkle Tage to sleep last night and instead stayed up for forty minutes because I kept getting interested in what you had going on in the songs, which is uncommon for this style. Dig it.

Makin it through your discography. Still surprised your stuff isn't bigger since it's been out a good three years.
>>72895234
4-5 years ago I'd have liked this a lot more, very This Town Needs Guns vibe. Little too poppy for my tastes though. Too safe to distinguish yourself from other math rocky bands. I do like the dreamier touches. There are people who will love this.

Yeah, I spent hours trying to fix the panning and just couldn't fucking do it. I have no idea what the problem is
>>72897423
What I like to do is record twice, both tracks in mono, then pan both either 100% to the left and right or 80% to the left and right. Gives it a very full sound, even on a budget, and all you really need is a metronome to keep time. Just convert your recorded tracks to mono, it shouldn't be too hard, most DAWs have an easy way to do that.
