compilation the album
I listened to it the other day out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised by the music, but the singing was just terrible. Awful vocals, awful lyrics, awful voice. I rarely ever pay attention to lyrics but these were pretty hard to ignore.
Bobby was the worst song by far.
6.5/10

It was okay. I stopped just over halfway through because I didn't care enough to continue. Brick was cool though.

I liked the alt country stuff but not like brick and sportstar

It does come out of nowhere on first listen, and I actually fucking loved that. But if you listen to the couple songs before it, it sort of paves a subtle trajectory towards something different from the indie rock/folk and alt country that predominates the album. Nothing that would intimate that there might be a hardcore noise rap track coming up, but some hint towards disparate styles. While it's a varied album, I think it somehow still comes off well.
