It's not really obscure soundwise though. Also there are probably people who listened to this on this board so idk
Not really obscure, not in the slightest, but I never see anyone talking about it so

Cosmos - Tears
>>72877850
is it prog?
Anything Psilodump. I've brought him up several times on /mu/ and I can only recall one time where someone else replied and said they listen to him too. To be fair he is pretty hit or miss and most of his latest releases have been misses IMO but when he hits he's as good as Aphex Twin and he had a really good streak for a while in the 2000s.
>>72877871
some prog tendencies, but it's more of a Canterbury Scene kind of deal except it's the 90s and made by 19 year olds
http://freemusicarchive.org/music/Sky_Barstow/Its_Circular/
surprisingly good, similar to black moth super rainbow but with a sense of melody closer to aphex twin
This isn't really that obscure(You can find it on YT) but literally no one talks about it anywhere
i really liked them, but not even math fags knew about these guys
this all you got /mu/??
Tag your albums you post with a genre or something lads

Man, sounds pretty dark. How would your drug trips be while listening to this?
Zenbishops-The PIlot
I picked up some random CD at Half-Price Books in the Bargain section that I thought looked cool. It was some creature flying upwards on a plane. It was $1.00 and change, so I bought it. It's kind of funk rock/jazz rock mixed with acoustic rock and dadrock vibes. I'm pretty sure I have one of the 10 CDs of it that were printed (IDK if it's ten, but whatever). This is an Allmusic page

Monte Cazzaza-The Cynic
Probably somewhat known on /mu/ as he was an edgelord that killed cats

oh gee wilikers

I just wrote a paragraph and deleted it because it doesn't matter.
The tl;dr is you are retarded and so is your thread.
>>72879642
is that so
>>72874689
I recommend this project here anytime I can. No one ever talks about this.
>>72879956
It's dark ambient by the way. It sounds like nothing I've ever heard before.
Good breakbeat stuff.

Even within the psybient community it seems very overlooked to me but I can't stop listening to it. Really good blend of live band music and psybient music (other than the last track which is kinda meh IMO but I get what they were going for I guess). It's also free.

So obscure this is literally the only thing about it online other than its DL source (noise arch).

I have a lot of early 90s bay area music I've collected from local thrift shops, most on CDs. I'm pretty certain most of it has never been uploaded online, though most of it is hot garbage.

Why? So I can conform to whatever you believe the /mu/ community should be? Anyone who interacts with a community becomes a part of that community for the length of that interaction. If there is rejection of a new member of a community, then there is dissonance from within the 'original' community. The highest goal is complete and total harmony.
>>72883102
nigga its just a shitpost. probably a veiled bump
>>72881355
aa this one is good
>>72883132
You the type a dude that brings the community into harmony
De La got thrown under the bus in favor of Tribe. A great album by the greatest rap group of all time that only came out last year and no one knows it exists.
>>72883304
First of all, it got funded, a lot of people paid for it before it was even released, so a lot of people heard it.
Now, i already realized you're retarded, but
>greatest rap group of all time
Kill yourself, your taste is terrible, new Tribe was decent at best, and De La's album was on par with that "return to form" bullshit that rappers from the 70s pull because they can't re-invent themselves, so they make their old shit with a new twist, and retarded idiots comment on every single one of their videos "HIP HOP IS BACK" acting all like new stuff is shit just because it's new, just like /v/ and their hivemind mentality.
>gold schoool 4 eva goys xd
It's generic 70's rock but still pretty damn good
>>72883676
And you think Outkast is obscure. I don't get how you can say this is a return to form. They just did what they've always done and came out with something that masterfully pushes hip-hop in whatever direction they choose. You're just ignorant. By the way nothing in your posts addresses the fact that this album got no hype. And if you deny that De La Soul is the GOAT you really don't know shit about rap.
>>72875448
It's literally hotline Miami core
>>72883980
Never said it was obscure, what i said is, your statement is simply wrong. That picture was not related to the thread, was related to the comment of the greatest rap group of all time.
But if you really think De La Soul is the best rap group, i guess you should stop listening to Gorillaz, DOOM, Aesop, you know, for a couple of days.
>>72879295
you don't deserve a (you) but you got mine
Peruvian traditional doom metal
>>72884013
Outkast is great but they couldn't do what De La could. You probably haven't heard Buhloone Mind State if you still aren't convinced. The fact that you think they have something in common with the artists you mentioned once again proves your ignorance.
This is Swivel Stick, an obscure punk band from Florida that were active in the 90s and only made on album, Notes Towards a Mental Breakdown (pic related).
The best way I would describe it is if Husker Du made Zen Arcade in the 90s and while listening to Swans
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJjjzPfMnOM
>>72884013
I don't understand why you're so against De La Soul. They've made plenty of classic records and deserve the high accolades they've received.
I'd love to be wrong about this though
I'd also love to be able to find another release from these guys online
>>72884115
They have a lot in common with Gorillaz, common collaborators.
Never said they were identical to Aesop or DOOM, but that's the shit you /mu/tards listen to.
What's so great about De La?
They have personality and good beats, i'll give you that, but what puts them over other great rap groups?
would be very surprised
>>72884157
I resent you for assuming that I'm a drone. Listen to Buhloone Mind State and pay attention to how the verses flow. At first it seems like rhyme patterns end and begin arbitrarily but once you pick up on their style the verses flow in such a cool way. It's complex as hell so it keeps you on your toes but it's not pretentious bullshit. It's relaxed and fun. Never heard a rapper who can pull off complex rhymes like they can. They are on a whole new level. I don't want you to assume that I value complexity when it comes to rap because I don't. I value nothing more than my enjoyment of the final product and they always deliver.

I've posted this on /mu/ every once in a while over the course of the past decade.
it's a side project from Zardonic that was briefly available from an anti-label run by James Fogarty (Ewigkeit). I've never been able to find it in a decent bitrate and as far as I know it doesn't exist at a high bitrate.
