I'm also assuming OP's listened to Kyuss, otherwise I would've posted Welcome to Sky Valley.

Weirdly enough, I enjoy a lot of doom/stoner metal but can't really get into grunge. I even tried listening to Failure's Fantastic Planet and I was just not feeling it. I don't know what it is, there's just nothing compensating for the lack of a dynamic sound.
