first listen of the temples album last night, seemed pretty good

I gave Xiu Xiu a top rating but I admit it hasn't ever been in rotation. I mostly just listened to it a couple times when it came out so it's been awhile.

It's interesting so far. Can't say that I've had much experience with Xiu Xiu though so I don't know how this sits in relation to the rest of his stuff. I'll have to bump it a few more times before I really make a decision I think.

I wasn't expecting to like new Temples since the only accounts I've heard of them was that their last album was just a watered down Lonerism but it was actually pretty decent
Gonna have to listen to it a couple more times but it's certainly enjoyable, reminds me of what I wished Currents ended up like
Also assuming tricot's new album is going to end up taking a top spot once I get through it a couple of times

I've never heard of Temples before this so I went in pretty blind.

Did you not like Currents? It ended up being one of my top albums for that year, and I wasn't much of a tame impala fan before that.

I'm going 3/5 on Temples
