It's not a method of dehumanizing mentally ill people but moreso as a way of legitimizing the biological existence of trans people. Mental illness rights is also important but not the same. I'm not sold on treatment by transitioning either. Suicide rates are too high, and you can hardly pin it all (or even most of it) on lack of mainstream acceptance (which is debatable.) Can we talk about the real thing here? Their music sucks. It's dressed up pop punk and is totally unoriginal. Their lyrics are the only unique thing about about them, but that's not enough to make their shitty music worth listening to.
