I don't understand why this man decided to throw away his talent to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Rodeo was a great debut album and then Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight got 2x as autotuned and offkey, but still had some decent, if not good, instrumentals. Anyway, the real question I',m trying to find the answer to is what goes on in artist's head where they can't see the quality and production drop in their work as their working on it in the studio. Blows my fucking mind how he was good enough to get noticed and acclaimed from his debut album and then you just let the hype die or not realize the shit your producing.

Have to agree, Rodeo is infinitely better than BITTSM. Pornography, Oh My Dis Side, 3500, 90210, Piss On Your Grave, Antidote, Maria I'm Drunk next to way back, through the late night, goosebumps, beibs in the trap, sweet sweet etc is no comparison.
Birds isn't god awful but it's certainly not Rodeo-level, although goosebumps & pick up the phone are still in regular rotation for me. Intrigued to see what Astroworld is like.

He didn't throw away his career by making Birds in the trap sing mcknight. He said in an interview that he mad that album solely to "rage to" and he din't put in nearly the same amount of work as he did with rodeo.
He knows that the album isn't even close to rodeo standards. He's just trying expanding his audience.
Wait till astroworld drops i guarantee it will be up to the level of rodeo.

It's not that I don't believe you, I just don't see his 3rd album going more towards Rodeo quality but rather more "songs he can rage too" style like Bittsm and playbook carti/Lil Uzi Vert level
