Is it stupid to play a guitar using a coin as a pick? I lost my pick.
Anything else make a good substitute pick?
Mojo picks have been around for a while
do you want the maximum stiffest pick? if yes go for it.
I'd go with a Copper-nickel quarter or a penny, I figure in my unscientific understanding that copper would be softer than the steel strings

Yes it's stupid and if it weren't people probably wouldn't even use picks.
A very thin ID card like for a library or something. The card has to be thin and flimsy enough that you can very easily bend it very significantly
Matchbook
Chris Squire would sometimes, but that's all I know about it
Kurt Cobain used to do it according to that Foo Fighters song.

Only problem i have heard/read about coin being used is the strings wear out much quicker and you lose the new string tone, otherwise it's fine
Brian May used a pick-like coin and look at all he accomplished.
I guess it depends on what sound you are chasing

when I first started playing and didn't have any money I hammered a coin down flat and cut it into a pick and it worked it can definitely be done I used a quarter

>purple above red
But that's wrong, you fucking retard
if you have an old credit card or similar you can cut a pick shape out of that and it works well in a pinch
