What kind of technique? You´ll need a certain groove to sound good on bass, which the guitar doesn´t have. Guitarrists who switch to bass sound pretty tacky to me

like i said, basic chords take a month or so to get down. for some of his songs you might only need 2 or 3, in which case it shouldnt take you that long, provided you have a sense of rhythm
