Yes. It ain't that bad tho.

It's the 'Michael Bay Movie' of jazz, which is almost groundbreaking in its own way.
>>
>>72787865
that was a dark day in music's history

>>
>>72787865
Jazz is still alive and well but it's not pushed by pitchfork or popular media so you tasteless nu-males dont hear about it
>>
>>72788709
Fucking loved this album.
Too bad they split up, glad I got to see em
>>
>>72788772
a genre without audience is not alive
it's not the masses' fault if those goobers are not appealing
>>
>>72787865

jazz doesn't need revitalizing, it's doing perfectly fine

just because it's no longer in the mainstream isn't the problem retards make it out to be
>>
>>72788772
>implying modern jazz is good
>>
No one actually listens to jazz, they just know to name drop miles davis, jazz is older than rock music, you would have to read history books and listen to hundreds of albums of Negroes bashing drums and cymbals before you could know anything about jazz.
>>
>>72787865
This album got a 9/10.
>>
>>72788709
No idea how this wasn't talked about much on here, was in my top 20 for last year.
>>
Jazz survives off academic elitists, and asian people making anime about it.
Its pretty much classical music territory now.

You don't listen to Jazz for it's novelty. You listen to Jazz for its history and its skill.

Jazz Fusion was a great direction for jazz to go. Chick Korea's Elektric Band? Godlike.

The recent hip-hop bloat is because of unintelligence being on the rise. Plain and simple.

But there has always been Jazz for dumb people. We used to call it swing. Now we call it smooth.

good thing jazz has an audience

not being mainstream =/= not having an audience, moron

you have been brainwashed by the pop industry
>>

(You)
>>
>>72790111
lol you had to delete your other reply cause it made no sense
a very small amount of followers doesn't mean a genre is alive retard, even exotica has fans to this day
jazz is completely dead
>>
>>72789902
it is. you just don't lurk enough
>>
>>72789934
being this retarded
>>
>>72790133

>you had to delete your other reply

??? >>72790111 and >>72789885 and this one are the only replies I have made ITT, I didn't delete anything.

>jazz is completely dead

this is objectively false. jazz has a lot of followers, it is just not *mainstream* which is what I keep saying, but you confuse mainstream with being the only form of popularity in the music world.
>>
>>72790133

>no audience means it's dead!
>but it still has an audience
>I-I mean, if it's niche means it's dead!
>>
>>72790235
what has jazz influenced in the past 30 years?
are you so autistic as to think it would have zero followers? do you take everything literally?
it's dead, it has no audience, no innovations, no influence, nothing
adios
>>
>>72790262
>what has jazz influenced in the past 30 years?

Where have you fucking been you ancientfag
>>
>>72790364
If you tried, I think you couldn't have possibly found a worse example.

>but you confuse mainstream with being the only form of popularity in the music world.
We're done here.
