Hosono is great. Parasio is also amazing
I actually just found out that a j-pop song that I've loved for quite awhile (that happens to be an OP for a drama series I've never seen) is actually a cover of a Sakamoto song

Is this some gay japanese boy band?
I listened to one song and it sounds like depeche mode
>straight up Nazi and fascist imagery in their concert film
What did they mean by this?
Are they redpilled?
You should all watch this btw it's aesthetic as fuck and great performances.

I don't especially enjoy YMO itself. I think they got better in their solo work. Like Neuromantic by Takahashi and B-2 Unit by Sakamoto.

They were a Japanese synthpop band and one of the most influential electronic artists ever.

It's about the cold, artificial sounding nature of the music and how they were the leaders of music in Asia at the time and everyone just copied them.
The solo work is actually better. Hosono and Sakamato's stuff are all great.
I love them. This song has a very DJ Mustard bassline around the middle https://youtu.be/aQ4mP1dOaro

ryuichi gets more attention on his solo work but in my opinion Haruomi Hosono deserve the attention.

I want Philharmony's cover as a t-shirt print
