What does /mu/ think of Rubber Soul?

Jesus Christ almighty this album is fucking shit

(Actually it's my favourite Beatles album and I rate it very highly, I love the folkiness of it)

Has anyone else ever noticed just how dated and old Let It Be sounds compared to their other stuff? It's weird

Something weird happened with the beatles and how their sound transformed. I always enjoy albums or blocks of albums by artists but the way their band evolved rendered some oft heir albums completely unlistenable to me and there is no rhyme or reason. Rubber Soul, Magical Mystery Tour, Revolver, White Album, Abbey Road are all great albums imo. I simply can't listen to other Beatles albums. It feels boring for lack of a better word. The doldrums.
