Yeah they are, borrows a few nonagon/mind fuzz riffs. They talked about it in interviews.

People shit on this band for being prolific but honestly more power to em. The microtonal album was pretty garbage and the new one just sounds like a dumbed-down Nonagon with unecessary spoken word bullshit everywhere, but their Paper Mache album from a few years back was legitimately good psych folk.
