I'm listening to it now. I like it so far, but Darnielle's lyricism always takes a few readalongs for me to properly appreciate.

There's nothing to talk about. It's a good album from a competent musician with a respected discography. There is no controversy or contention to cause "discussion" here.

I just liked the first song desu, the rest felt a little 'meh' for me. Maybe I should give it a second listen.

I don't think I've liked any of The Mountain Goats' albums on first listen except for All Eternals Deck, and I think that's one of his weaker post-2000 works.
