De La Soul -- 3 Feet High and Rising if you haven't already. Also, I haven't listened to them ever, but I think Tribe Called Quest would also fit in that box, at least their earlier stuff.

Also Slick Rick -- The Great Adventures of Slick Rick. Some swear words but not crazy, and not "dindu" lyrics. Really fun and funny album.
