What's come out is sadly enough. The issue with accusations like this is that they only have to be made for them to have an effect. Releasing these statements and choosing not to go to the police is always the best movie if you're looking to take down someone, as SJWs have a book of excuses to leave out the law because it theoretically brings up trauma for the victims. Then, if the accused wants to sue for libel, since, you know, their livelihood is being ruined they will look like an asshole no matter what.

The truth is, if you're a budding artist with legit chances at success, you should just shroud yourself in mystery out of your music. Only stay in the DIY scene to play shows, then live out your personal life completely detached from that scene, as it's chock full of attention-starved SJWs waiting for the next "abuser" to take down so they can get a week's worth of self-satisfaction before they fall back into their worthlessness.

The reason Larkin Grimm didn't succeed in ruining Michael Gira's career is that he's already 60 and has spent over half his life building relationships with his bandmates, fans, past lovers and industry people, enough so that they could all speak to him and infer for themselves that the accusation was most likely false. In addition to that, he had already confirmed that Glowing Man was gonna be the last true Swans album, therefore the last thing for music media to hype, so there wasn't as much of an impact to be had from taking him down. the biggest problem is, plain and simple, that rape is an incredibly difficult thing to prove, since most cases always fall down to he-said, she-said. without recorded evidence, or a hospital evaluation immediately following the rape (which most women don't get since they'd rather go home and try to forget what just happened), it cannot be proven in any sure way. Most people understand that however traumatic a rape may be, women can still recover and move on with their lives, while someone being accused of rape, even if it isn't proven, can have their entire reputation ruined, which means a lot given the prevalence of the internet. if the story makes it to any paper, it is something that will come up anytime the accused applies for a job.

I do think it's good that we started caring much more about rape as a society, since there was a massive patriarchal standard before that shamed women into being complacent about these things. But that is no longer the case, and our main focus should be to maintain a middle-ground about this and ensure that women and men understand everything they can do to prevent these situations from unfolding. The issue is that now you have these crazy insecure feminists preying on young women's shame over awkward first-time sexual experiences and convincing them that they're essentially too stupid to voice their consent in most cases. If two people get too drunk it's somehow the guy's fault? If a woman lets a guy fuck her and then doesn't say anything when she stops enjoying it the guy is somehow supposed to infer that in the midst of his ecstasy? These are actual excuses being given for rape accusations, and the more we approve of them the easier it will be for wrongful accusations becoming the norm.
