>Listen to an album
>Has a perfect closing track
>Sometime later, the "deluxe edition" is released
>The new closer is even better

What album
>>72751322
>there are people who actually do this
>japanese bonus track
>it's a better closer than the actual album closer

I doubt that has ever happened

In Rainbows
>capaldiposting
this is that but with the opening track
>>72751322
>want to listen to an acclaimed album from a popular artist on spotify
>open up the album-page
>original album has 10 tracks, deluxe edition has 40
>demos, outtakes, three interview-pieces that all last 10 minutes, live-versions, b-sides, whole album that has been remixed and mastered to shit by rick rubin
>the album has 3-4 different versions posted on the bands page, inbetween 10 live albums and bootlegs
Am I the only one autistic enough to avoid 'deluxe' albums? I want to judge the original album as it was intended with the songs in the correct order. The only exception that springs to mind is Rumours, Silver Springs is better than many songs that made it onto the original album.

It depends. If the deluxe-edition is the same price or in some cases, even cheaper than the original then i'll go with deluxe-edition. Otherwise, I agree with your sentiment. Deluxe-editions rarely offer people anything besides the usual 2-3 extra-songs that may or may not be added there.

I listen to original releases exclusively
>>72752311
almost every deluxe edition I've had has the same exact song listing with a second disc or whatever. except for Bee Thousand.
The other thing I have noticed:
>NEW 40th anniversary remaster
>sounds worse than original
Thieving cunts.

Money doesn't come into it for me as I stream my music through Tidal and where there's a deluxe version (or several) there is usually also the original available.
