It'll be interesting to see how time treats this album.
Feels like the only people that cares right now are death grips elitists, it reviewed pretty poorly and isn't talked about at all in those circles, but I can see when critics start looking back on their discography 10 years from now they'll see something they didn't when it was first released.
Pitchforks review to me is so bizzare, because the guy complains it isn't creative and pushing forward enough, says it's Death Grips getting comfortable and that couldn't be further from the truth at all, I don't know why he would say such a thing. The album is clearly an expansion of the production ideas on GP but it's also so much more than that. You can't just be dismissive of how concise and well realized the project is, how does it just go over your head how rhythmically complex the album is?
It's too good to overlook. Way too interesting an album
sure, why not

It's such a good album and is currently their most underrated. That review, as with all pitchfork reviews, is probably dictated by certain intere$t$ that couldn't be ea$ily $ati$fied with this album.
It's very avant-garde, it's rhythmically interesting with top-tier production and styles that were underexplored on GP. The album is so underrated it hurts. What's so wrong with them getting comfortable? This might be one of their most fleshed out albums stylistically and that's a great thing
