In terms of Kanye West, if I remember correctly, he tends to over credit his albums. He pretty much gives credit to everybody and anybody who was there during the recording process. So I don't think massive writing credits reflect on him badly.

With Kendrick, I'm 95% positive he doesn't use ghost writers, and that all the writing credits are for the production, which is fine by me.

I guess it depends on what the writing credits are for, and even then it's hard to tell since they can be misleading. Generally speaking, I don't really care that much about writing credits, though it's a really great way to insult a shit artist you already don't like.

MBDTF is overrated and Kanye gets way too much credit as some kind of producing-and-rapping ~auteur~ given how little production and writing he actually does, but nah not really, if it still sounds good and the artist isn't pretending they're somehow doing it all alone why should I care
