try and think a bit more abstractly, friend. what is the shirt? a declaration of one's enjoyment of the band's music or advertisement? or perhaps both? if someone sees the words "Pink Floyd" on a shirt, theyre gonna think "hrmm that must be some band associated with that triangle light thing, ill look it up later today" if they just saw a triangle with a white light going in one side a rainbow coming out the other they would be pretty confused and would get nothing out of the sight or would have to ask the person wearing the shirt to explain or do some extra googling

I have a few Floyd shirts. My girlfriend knows I love the band and occasionally gets them for me for birthdays/xmas etc. so I appreciate the gesture. The only band t-shirt I have bought myself was from the Gilmour Rattle That Lock tour.

It's pretty fucking idiotic to assume someone wearing a band t-shirt knows fuck all about the band or is trying to make a massive statement.

The vast majority of people like music much worse than Pink Floyd, so I don't cringe at all. I'm not personally a fan of DSotM or Unknown Pleasures but I usually get on well with people who wear those kind of shirts because they're probably into music. Stop being such a vindictive child OP.
