I think my favorite album of his is Songs of Pain. That dingy piano works perfectly with his young and unsure voice. A lot of the songs hit close to home.

About 20 years ago I got a book for my birthday. It was large and each double page consisted of a drawing in a slightly cartoony style explaining a different aspect of Earth such as the water cycle to some green aliens that were visiting in their spaceship, and I swear those aliens looked exactly like the Daniel Johnston frog/alien.
