Lucky for him EDM ""fans"" aren't real music fans, they are fans of being part of a cool party scene. Basically they are the kids at high school who were never quite popular but never quite embraced being a fuckin loser either. Now as they enter adulthood the popular kids get on with their normie lives, the outcasts dive into their autistic hobbies and post on chinese cartoon websites, but those who were never quite on either side are still desperately trying to feel like they are cool kids who are part of the in crowd.
That's why whoever is the hot new dude with the best marketing is going to be the """best""" """""music""""" """""""producer""""""" of the day, it isn't about music, it is about desperate people trying to be cool.
