What about The Moon & Antarctica?
>>72709197
I put it next to Good news, it's equal imo
>>72709227
damn didn't even see it, but I agree with your rating
>>72709264
I actually really like their No One's First, and You're Next EP, King Rat is a great song.

I've actually been meaning to check out Autechre. Would you recommend starting at Confield, or is there a better starting point?

I think the best way to get into Autechre is to start with LP5 and go forwards if you like the glitchy experimental sound design, or backwards if you like the ambient synths and melodies. Or if you're up for it, listen through them all in order. It's a lot but their evolution as a band is pretty nuts.
I rated LP5 low but honestly I still like it a lot, all of their albums are great. Confield is brilliant but it's not really representative of their discography as a whole, and more importantly it's really fucking weird and kind of intimidating. If you're feeling brave though then yeah go for it, just be prepared to listen to it more than once before you start to wrap your head around it.

Top 4 albums are god-tier though. I'd even put almost all of their EPs from "Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks" and prior to above Good News.

this. i'd put sad sappy sucker above good news too which might be controversial

I would put Moon above Good News and move building above both of them. I would also mention The Fruit That Ate Itself in some cheeky way, because, although it doesn't belong on this list, it is dope as shit.
>>72709300
I like that EP a lot too. There's actually a really great version of The Ocean Breathes Salty that goes on for like seven minutes and contains lyrics that would become part of Perpetual Motion Machine on Youtube. Makes me wonder what could have been.

You know what I mixed up fight off your demons with this Misc and Covers album with a bunch of shitty electronic remixes. I forgot about it because it wasnt an official release
>>72709834
Hahaha yeah I was gonna say
Fight Off Your Demons is a little rough but honestly it's right below TDAG for me
hey now, I think Strangers to Ourselves is a fairly overlooked album. New doesn't mean bad.

idk I just kinda came up with that list without much thought. Building Nothing is still a 7 for me, I just fuckin love MM and their stuff its hard to place them above each other.
>ranking good news higher than a 5/10

>>72710312
Bukowski, One Chance, and Good Times are outstanding songs in my opinion yo. Dance Hall, Ocean Breathes Salty, and Devil's Workday are always fun too
>>72709679
Well it's not an objective rating, and I have a lot of attachments to Good News which bumps it up. It is hard to rate MM albums though, as they are really close to each other with their first five albums.
