i guess i'm just disappointed with the record. it feels like a step back after the self titled's ambition. i was expecting them to expand into new territories, but it seems that they'd rather play it safe with their most poppy, radio-friendly sound yet. I'm sure it's a decent album if you view it as a standalone pop release, but it really does feel like a regression to me.
