What's any of that got to do with ska?
Did you mean "pop-punk with horns" because that's what they are.
Streetlight Manifesto is good
all of reel big fish's songs sound like they're written by the biggest mra fucker on the planet. aaron barrett probably checks /r/redpill at least once a day
everything else is fine, Mighty Mighty Bosstones are cool

My gf got me into them.

Its 3rd wave ska u fuck
op ivy is the only good ska punk band
Op Ivy split up 28 years ago; you're living in the past. There are plenty of good current ska bands, whether you're into it or not...
/mu/ is usually not.

nah i just dont really like ska punk desu. any other good current bands with the op ivy/choking victim/leftover crack sound?
I like old school ska like Desmond Dekker and The Skatallites.
Also second wave two tone like The Specials and The (English) Beat.
Todays ska and so called "Ska-Punk" is hit or miss for me.

Is there ska that has metal influence?

Thumper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc9FOxEQlwg
There are lots of skacore bands, but Thumper sprung to mind. Random Hand & Link 80 get pretty heavy, among others.
