What does /mu/ listen to in the gym?
The first track from every shoegaze album.

Gotten some good results recently, switched from gangsta rap to Nazi'-Germany music, just passed a milestone as I now joined the 500 kg club (bench, deadlift and squats)

If cardio, upbeat/aggressive music (rainbowdragoneyes, grindcore, metal etc)
If weights, literally doesn't matter, I just need sound to focus on. Been listening to Plone's For Beginner Piano a lot lately
>>72705110
I like swans (great annihilator, the seer, soundtracks for the blind) but I can't get into te scary stuff (public castration, filth)...am i a pussy?
>>72705363
No, that's just your preference. But Public Castration is a 10/10 workout album (or in general)
>>72705005
Whatever garbage they're playing at the gym. After all, you're not going to the gym to listen to music. Not to mention that's it's far from the perfect setting for listening to music.
>>72705005
I tend to listen to synthwave at the gym, such as carpenter brut, but it gets boring if you listen to it every day haha
>>72705507
>you're not going to the gym to listen to music
I am
>>72705399
cool, but I wanna like it. I'll give it a gym test next week
>>72705588
Honestly, I'd test the waters with Filth, Cop, etc... First before getting into Public
Suzanne by Leonard Cohen, on repeat
>>72705588
>you're not going to the gym to listen to music
>I am
Why? And:
>Not to mention that's it's far from the perfect setting for listening to music.
>>72705817
It was a joke, but music can change your mood so if you listen to music that hypes you up you will lift better. Maybe its not your preference but don't pretend you don't understand that. It's a fine setting for music, also.
>>72705667
thanks ill give them a try
>>72705914
I agree with the first part, obviously, but how is gym a fine setting for music? Sure, if you're listening to hip hop, rap and similar genres of pleasant background music, any setting is fine, but I see people recommending listening to Swans at the gym.
Sometimes I just bring no earphones with me and just listen to the generic top 40 billboard crap they play all the time. Working out to fucking Ed Sheeran or whatever makes you feel like a well adjusted member of society somehow, it's a nice feeling.
But normally I just listen to shoegaze or Jpop. I also like listening to music from my native language when working out, not sure why

>he fell for the muscular jew
>>72706008
well the question was what does /mu/ listen to in the gym, not why don't you listen to swans in the gym. I never have but I've listened to some darkish ambient stuff like Dopesmoker and it was kind of a cool feeling. ask >>72705110 about swans
>>72706064
Thats cool, but I lift at school with the wrestling team and can't stand listening to ACDC and generic stadium music like that.
a spotify playlist with DMX and Danzig and Rob Zombie and Shinsuke Nakamura's theme from WWE NXT

atm, mostly this. But I go through phases in the gym. Some months I'm in a Drake/Kendrick gym mood, some months it's metal etc
>>72707866
wrong album, I was thinking of this.
