Use a parametric equalizer.

APO EQ and download the Peace GUI extension to it.

An equalizer with 10 bands can only do so much, with a parametric equalizer you can have more than 16 bands and control them with pinpoint accuracy. It's what they use to iron out flaws in the frequency response of studio monitors and recording equipment in general.

Equalizer is a meme. You can tinker with it all you want but ultimately it just makes the song louder, something you can do with the volume switch.
