I don't know why but I just don't like rap and hip hop but everybody I know does
Try and be more open minded

What hip hop have you listened to?
Then listen to something you do like. Some people just don't like certain things.

It's okay, you are a unique snowflake like all of us on /MU/. :)
literally every white person feels this way at some point until they decide to be more open minded.
Is this, dare i say it the return of trip culture

i don't get this?

It's okay, >99% of it is trash. The <1% is great but you have to find it and you can be forgiven for not expending that effort.

im the opposite
in 2011/2012 I was eating up any rap /mu/ gave me
then I just eventually lost interest cause everything sounds the same and straight rap doesnt have as much replayability as traditional songs with abstract/interpretive lyrics and actual instrumentation instead of a 'beat'
its very primitive music

>its very primitive music
Not yet, but its starting to feel like its almost running its course.
>>72693616
>beats are repetitive by definition
>ignores existing abstract/interpretive rapping.
>must be primitive genre
good line of reasoning here
