What record player do vinyl fags recommend? I'm new to this and thinking about getting one. Pic related.

if all you want to do is play records and don't need to be a fuckin elitist than anything besides a crosley will do the trick

I don't wanna be an elitist, but I want an experience that'll make spending all this money kind of worth it.

crosleys literally destroy your records. why spend money on a hobby when the record player is going to tear your LPs up, which can cost quite a bit of money if your not just buying new releases?

he's memeing you, crosleys are terrible

Well I know that. So is the lp120 a good choice?

he literally said anything besides a crosley will do the trick you dumb fucks
How is the USB ripping on it? I have a bunch of old 7"s from a defunct local label that I got from my Dad. Most of them don't even have a Discogs and none can be found in digital form.

I have an AT-LP60 that I have literally used all of 3 times to play an old ass "Supreme's greatest hits" record and Elvis' Blue Hawaii once and run it out of some fuckass Dayton Audio bookshelf speakers
Then I fucked up the needle and the only way I can get the thing fixed is sending it back to the manufacturer. Get something with auto operation like mine and don't be a dumbass like me.

I use one right now and the thing is built like a tank. Overall I would say if you're going for something that's relatively inexpensive and going produce a good sound, this is the way to go. The only problem I had with it is the RCA cables coming out the back are a little short. Also the plastic bit that holds in the tone arm can break off easily, but other than that you're looking at a worthy buy.
What preamp do you guys use, and speakers?

you can't just replace the stylus?

If it has an adjustable tone arm it is just as good or better than an lp-60, and you can get them for way cheaper.

That one has a counterweight and shit so it's probably pretty good. I've used a cheap AudioTechnica that didn't have that and it wasn't so great, but the one in your pic shoudl be fine.
Now, if you just want to cultivate a small collection and only occasionally spin a record, a shitty, cheap all-in-one type record player will do fine. Us vinylfags love to shit on Crosleys (because they sound like shit and they can potentially damage your record) but if you're just gonna be casual about it then it doesn't matter. But if you'd like to enjoy your records with good sound quality and minimize the risk of damage, a higher quality record player is worth the investment.
