What annoyed me about this album was that out of all songs on it that weren't intervals, only 1 didn't have a feature on it, there was no song with 2D's vocals as the main selling point, so it didn't even feel like a gorillaz album. Some songs were listenable, but fuck me this makes listening to their earlier stuff a bittersweet sort of get. Alboorn GTFO.

Listening to plastic beach again it makes sense conceptually. Plastic beach and The Fall were all a period of transition for the characters from the old world to the new (rock to electronic, and now club music). Plus I'm willing to bet that the TV show will save it.

Biggest disappointment in a very long time. those repetitive beats on every song, uninspired rap and wasted guest vocals. It's hardly a 6 for me... already regretting the 75 euro ticket i bought to go see them

I realize that Gorillaz albums have always had lots of features, but it always felt like "Gorillaz and friends", not "Various Artists ft. Gorillaz". The latter being exactly what Humanz feels like.
