Hard mode for /mu/ is after '79.
Get taste kids
>>72649252
Nah brev. I like Coil as much as the next guy, but late 60's psych is most essential.
BONEFISH

It's a pretty great time. Dont do like 5 tabs your first time though lmao
>>72649491
>Dont do like 5 tabs your first time though lmao
sounds like a hell of a story
>>72649458
That's a great album to listen to if you do.
>>72649509
Wasn't me who did 5 tabs, but a friend of mine. He said he watched himself die and now he never does any drugs.
Pretty neat.
>>72649367
My suggestion would be Satanic Panic in the Attic
that albums a 10/10 masterpiece
Can - Tago Mago
Amon Düül II - Phallus Dei
The Doors - Strange Days
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets
The United States of America - The United States of America
White Noise - An Electric Storm
The Beach Boys - Surf's Up
The Olivia Tremor Control - Black Foliage: Animation Music Volume One
Mercury Rev - Boces
Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun
Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion

Great production, even greater feels
>>72651294
Don't shit up this good thread. You have the rest of the board to talk about this shitty band.
>>72651391
Oh please. It's a great trip album, especially with shrooms.
fucking guru guru
>>72651391
not gonna lie this album was pretty good when I was stoned in bed once
the reverb does a great job of forming space and the openness of the drums in bloom really make you feel awesome
however it lacks musical substance, everyone song other than bloom and lotus flower is pretty boring.
>>72651599
I agree that Bloom and Lotus Flower are probably the best songs on the record, but not by a whole lot. I think every song on there has its place. It's in my top three radiohead albums though which isn't a popular opinion.
I just think it's cool how they made something that somehow sounds so organic. Like listening to Kid A, or 22, a million, or similar electronic albums; it all sounds very cold and robotic (not a strike against those albums, love them very much). The King of Limbs is totally alive and natural, feels like a walk through the woods.
>>72651599
Lotus Flower is terrible. Little by Little is the best on the album.
>>72651741
maybe you gotta develop your taste more? go back to ok computer if you want rock and amateur syncopation then
come to the king of limbs
>>72651719
king of limbs isnt that robotic to me, it was at first and felt very looped, but now it feels really natural and energetic.
I hoped they'd do something like Can and do something with the trance and energy of the songs but instead some
of it just was really forgettable guitar music. I like feral and the bass is pretty good is said few songs but then some of it
especially towards the end really sucks regardless of how much attention and care
>>72651897
Yes I was saying King of Limbs is the opposite of robotic.
And idk man, I think the album is pretty much perfect all the way through. To each his own though!

>Amon Düül II - Phallus Dei
Phallus Dei is incredible. Chris Karrer wrote most of it while going through a deep bout of existential depression and turned it into this fucking masterpiece to try and help laugh it off.
AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>72651897
>oh no he doesn't like what I like!
>hurr develop your taste
Moron.
Skip to 9:58 for the trippiest song on the album.

Album OP posted is Deep Purple under a different name
>>72650918
This guy gets it.
The GOAT. The album comes with a poem that corresponds to each track, telling the story of a man going through existential rebirth.
>>72649046
funkadelic's one nation under a groove is prob better on psychs. i dunno, I always get hooked in with the title track and hope for more transcendental dance uptempo numbers, but george clinton doesn't go for the slappers too much, he's like lullin ya with goo, well nah, give me that lightning yea? like I guess my funk ideal is electric miles then, or was (not was)' wheel me out, or esg or liquid liquid aaaaaaaagh

I don't have a single fucking clue what you meant by most of that
