self titled is a masterpiece, other two are pretty whatever

Couldn't get into much other than the debut. I really liked the intimacy of it that resulted from the recording setup, and the self titled album lost that.

It's not even especially overproduced, it just feels that way in comparison and I don't like it. Haven't listened to the new one, is it a similar style to the self titled?

For Emma is a classic, self-titled is forgettable as shit and 22 A Million is decent but a little bit too far out there for my taste.

Not in any way at all. The best way to describe it is experimental. A lot of strange synth and autotune stuff mixed with tyical bon iver

very influential artist, a lot of hipster meme music came from his ideas. By him I mean Justin Vernon, because honestly Bon Iver and Volcano Choir are literally the same band, but Justin is the real genius here.
